Cauliflower breadsticks are that go to recipe when you can’t eat bread because of allergies or a special diet.  For example, anybody with diabetes, celiac, or even if you are just following a low carb diet you have to stay away from the bread basket!  Luckily, you can have something even better that doesn’t make you feel tired, sluggish or sick. 
Make this healthy recipe for a weeknight craving or a night when the game is on and you need a snack.  Basically, you feel like you’re indulging but really it’s a healthy snack/side that helps you keep on track with your health goals. 
A low carb cauliflower bread alternative that’s naturally gluten and starch free. 

Cheesy Cauliflower Breadsticks

This recipe is perfect for anybody with a special diet such as low carb, keto, gaps, gluten and grain free.  Cauliflower is rarely a favorite vegetable at most tables.  Yet this year cauliflower has been getting more and more attention!  In fact, there is a cauliflower replacement for just about anything!  


Sprinkle an extra layer of cheese on top for cheesy breadsticks!

Cauliflower Breadsticks
Cheesy cauliflower breadsticks for a low carb and gluten free appetizer everyone can enjoy. These are perfectly paired with marinara and make a great potluck meal!

  1. 1 bag of trader joes cauli rice
  2. 3 eggs
  3. 1 cup cup shredded cheese + 1/2 for extra topping
  4. 1 tsp italian seasoning (oregano + basil)
  5. 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil optional
  6. 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  7. dash of garlic flakes and/or powder (used both)
  8. dash of salt
  9. marinara sauce for dipping
  1. Preheat oven to 400F. Open cauli rice and cook on a baking sheet for 7-10 minutes.
  2. While you wait for the cauliflower rice to cool down whisk eggs, salt, seasonings, and salt.
  3. Wrap the cauli rice in a flour towel, let it sweat out all excess water, strain.
  4. Fold cheese then cauliflower into the egg mixture.
  5. Using your hands or a silicone spatula flatten the cauliflower breadstick dough onto the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of cheese and bake for another 5-7 minutes until cheese is fully melted and golden.
  7. While waiting for the breadsticks to cool down serve marinara sauce into dipping containers.
  8. Use a pizza cutter to slice and serve with marinara.
